OPM rock legends Wolfgang embodied the true spirit of rock ‘n’ roll during the ‘MANILA 2.0: Wolfgang: The Reunion’ concert held last June 20 at The Filinvest Tent in Alabang.

Longtime fans excitedly welcomed the band’s return to the stage, while a newer generation of rock fans experienced a defining chapter in Philippine rock history. The night became a celebration that bridged generations through Wolfgang’s music.

Composed of Manuel Legarda, Basti Artadi, Wolf Gemora, and Marco Cuneta, the band immediately set the tone for the evening with classic hits such as ‘Center of the Sun,’ ‘Arise,’ and the crowd favorite, ‘Natutulog Kong Mundo.’

The energy intensified as Wolfgang performed fan favorites including ‘Atomica,’ ‘Beast,’ and ‘Love & Despair,’ sending the audience a message as one of the country’s most influential rock bands.

An unforgettable highlight came when singer-songwriter Radha joined the band onstage for stirring performances of ‘Matter of Time’ and ‘Sanctified.’ The collaboration that had everyone screaming every lyric showcased their love for music.

The night also had a nostalgic kick as Wolfgang paid tribute to their late, longtime bassist, Mon Legaspi, during their performance of ‘Darkness Fell,’ accompanied by a montage of photographs celebrating his legacy and memories with the band. The heartfelt moment resonated deeply with fans, many of whom have followed Wolfgang’s journey for decades.

Keeping the momentum alive, the band performed two of the songs that helped define their story as artists — ‘Halik Ni Hudas’ and ‘Mata ng Diyos’ that fans sang along to as the night was about to end.

Yet the dream reunion did not end there. Wolfgang returned for an encore performance of ‘Weightless,’ a song that has become a soundtrack to countless lives and memories, bringing the evening to a fitting and emotional close.
