For Danny O'Donoghue, returning to Manila is more than just another stop on a world tour — it's a homecoming.

"It feels like coming home every time," the frontman shared during The Script's press conference in Manila last May 25, where the band announced their highly anticipated ‘MAN IN THE ARENA TOUR’ that’s set to hit the Philippines on March 18, 2027.

Danny O’Donoggue also had an opportunity to introduce their latest single, ‘Man In The Arena,’ and their upcoming album this August, ‘The User's Guide To Being Human.’

The Philippines remains the band's only Asian stop announced so far, a testament to the deep connection The Script has created with Filipino fans since first performing in the country in 2011. "We've had an amazing relationship with the Philippines," O'Donoghue said. "We're very blessed."

He noted that the country continues to be one of the places where music trends flourish, allowing both longtime listeners and younger generations to discover and connect with The Script’s songs. Whether it's classics from their early years or newer releases, their music continues to find new life among Filipino audiences.

Much like the people who listen to them, Danny O'Donoghue believes that The Script's music has evolved. "We've become older and wiser," he reflected. That sense of growth forms the heart of ‘The User's Guide To Being Human.’ After years in the making, Danny O'Donoghue shared his excitement at finally sharing the album with the world.

Fans of The Script’s signature storytelling can also look forward to a special surprise. Because ‘The Man Who Can't Be Moved’ remains one of their most beloved songs, the upcoming album will feature what Danny O'Donoghue describes as a "part two" to the iconic track.

Danny O’Donoghue shared that the inspiration came from a delivery robot that he encountered in Los Angeles, prompting him to reflect on humanity’s relationship with the rapidly evolving technology.

The upcoming album centers on connection, emotion, and the soul that defines human experience. It explores the many feelings and moments that shape people's lives, serving as a reminder that technology can never replace genuine human connection.

He believes that the beauty of music can bring people together and become part of life's most meaningful moments. Despite their global success, The Script have remained grounded and grateful for the impact their songs have had across different generations.

The Script’s loyal fanbase in the Philippines is something Danny O'Donoghue never takes for granted. He described the unique energy of performing for Filipino audiences as a powerful reminder that "we're all human one way or another."

He added that the group is simply thankful to be remembered and appreciated, even in the smallest ways.

We can’t wait to see The Script on the Manila stage again, have the time of our lives with the music that shaped us, and experience the different kinds of love in every lyric.
