He’s the very talented and mood maker of the hit P-Pop boy group SB19 but besides his prominence in the group, Stell has a more fiery, sultry side to him that was only revealed when he has finally released his own solo track!

Stell is the last member of SB19 to showcase his own music and the time has finally arrived! Last June 14, the artist held an invite-only showcase at Teatrino Promenade, Greenhills for his solo single showcase titled ‘Room’. The all-rounder artist surprised everyone, not only with the groovy, amazing choreography of his track ‘Room’, but also to a theatrical improv to kick his showcase off! He truly is a performer, indeed! From singing, dancing and even acting, what can’t Stell do? We were already in awe, and that was just the start of the show!

The night continued on with mostly Stell answering media and fan questions; telling behind stories of how ‘Room’ came to be and the inspirations behind it. We learned the journey to him releasing his solo single was tiring but worth all the wait! So how did ‘Room’ came to be? Stell shared that for the longest time, he was always so hesitant about releasing his own song. But due to being given several opportunities working without his members, his strength was slowly being solidified. It was now or never for him! 

The birth of ‘Room’ was such a collaborative effort between Stell and his members. Pablo worked on the song with him, helping out with the lyrics and production. On the other hand, Justin directed the funky, powerful music video! Even if they’re pursuing music on their own, SB19 still shows the kind of teamwork that they have. The success of ‘Room’ would not be possible without the creative eyes and ears of his members who contributed to the vibe and visuals of the track!

Stell has always had a soft spot for theatrical music, believing that this type of musical area is where he can excel individually. Mixing in funk-pop and taking inspiration from Bruno Mars, and Michael Jackson, Stell has perfected the equation of how he wants ‘Room’ to sound! The track expressed his quality vocal chops, and smooth dance moves which exuded to what kind of a performer he is.

Besides his solo single launch, Stell has more coming up! An EP release is in the works and is bound to be released in August of this year, as well as an upcoming nationwide tour. We’re pretty sure A’TINs and his solo stans jumped for joy upon hearing this news from Stell himself!

We can’t wait to see more of Stell’s growth as an artist, and just by being in SB19, he has already proved himself as a strong suit to his group and to the P-Pop industry as well. Now that he’s venturing out and exploring more of his sound, with his versatility and jaw-dropping skills, it’ll be no surprise if Stell rose out on top!
