Award-winning alt-pop rock band Coldplay graced the Philippines after a long time and brought their Music of the Spheres Tour to the country last January 19 and 20. It was a paradise of a night inside the Philippine Arena where fans and enjoyers lived a musical experience through the magic and spark Coldplay has to offer.
Before the show started, homegrown talent, singer-songwriter jikamarie opened for the show. Not long after, the band then started their set. Coldplay divided their set into a 4-part act: Act I Planets featured 'Higher Power,' 'Adventure of a Lifetime,' 'Paradise,' and 'The Scientist.' Act II Moons brought out the classics like 'Viva la Vida,' 'Everglow,' and 'Yellow' among others. Act III Stars was a spectacular wave of their grandest songs; 'Clocks,' 'Something Just Like This,' 'My Universe,' and 'A Sky Full of Stars,' to name a few. Their last act, Act IV Home mellowed down that different energy the previous acts filled, with songs like 'Sparks,' 'Fix You,' and 'Biutyful,' to end the show. An unexpected collaboration stage of 'Raining In Manila' with our very own Lola Amour took the crowd on a massive surprise on the first night of the show! What a majestic way to cap off Coldplay's 2-day Music of the Spheres tour in the country.
