Six years since he last performed in the Philippines with EXO, Doh Kyungsoo is back - and this time, as a solo artist! The final stop of his Asia Fan Concert Tour entitled “BLOOM” was held last August 31 and September 1 at the Araneta Coliseum. The Monster got to witness Day 2 of the sold-out show, and we’re here to give you a recap of the night’s highlights!

Showing off his amazing vocals, the all-rounder opened the fancon with a live performance of ‘Mars,’ the title track of his latest album “Blossom.” He also surprised Filo Eris with a brand new haircut, which he shared is for an upcoming drama where he plays a villain! We’re so excited to see a new side of actor Kyungsoo!

After saying hi to fans, D.O. then sat down with emcee Denise Laurel for the “Kyungsoo in Bloom” segment! He played a food balance game, did some cute poses with lucky EXO-Ls, sang his solo and his group’s songs after guessing the titles based only on emojis, and more. It was so heart-warming that an esteemed singer and actor was so game to do so much for his fans!

He then continued to serenade the crowd with his impressive vocal performances of ‘Simple Joys,’ ‘That’s okay,’ ‘I Do,’ ‘My Dear,’ ‘Ordinary Days,’ ‘Good Night,’ ‘About Time,’ and ‘Somebody.’ A Manila D-2 exclusive was a short acapella rendition of the fan favorite ‘Rose’ — Kyungsoo’s response to one of the fan projects prepared by Dandanies, which was a sea of light up red roses and fairy lights. Aside from being a beautiful view, it was touching to see such the loving relationship between D.O. and Phixos!

“I had so much fun. Today’s concert will be unforgettable for me,” he said in his closing ment. “It might take some time, but I’ll make sure to prepare as soon as possible so I can come back with a stage that you all can enjoy.” 

He then wrapped up the fancon singing ‘Popcorn’ for the encore — best believe we screamed our lungs out doing the iconic fan chant D.O. himself made!
