After spending her days under the relaxing sun and the sounds of the ocean in Siargao Island, Nadine is healthy, glowing, fully recharged and ready to get back to her craft.
It has been a year since the 'Wildest Dreams' visual masterpiece (that we're still very much in awe of, up to this day) and the experience it gave its viewers and listeners. Nadine tells us that her new release 'Wait For Me' is a "different artist, a different Nadine Lustre as a singer". In her new song, Nadine admits that it was a challenge especially in singing the song as it was not in her comfortable range. The terms of how "Wait For Me", Nadine shares that LA producer Sweater Beats sent the demo and the former even thought twice about doing the song as it wasn't her kind of song to sing, saying she might not give justice to it. Nonetheless, everything worked out and the singer perfectly delivered.
The line "Good things can fall apart" is one of the challenging lines in the song that Nadine has done. It's more about the meaning of that line instead of the technicality that made it difficult for Nadine as it was hard for her to accept the meaning of it at first. Nadine shares that she was already in a good place during that time with so much to look forward to and having hit with good things can fall apart got her into thinking. But that specific line didn't get much into Nadine's head as she has an amazing support system around her, giving her reality checks when she needs it. Nadine is always being taken care of by the people she loves, looking out for them in all ways and does the same for them. At this point in time, healthy relationships with other people are one of the most important things right now as days and times can be so overwhelming. We're glad to hear Nadine gets the love and supports she deserves and has no hesitation on giving it back as well!
Nadine has been taking her time on the beautiful island of Siargao, surrounded by nature and the peaceful sounds of the ocean. It was a healing time for her, away from the busy and bustling city of Manila. "I was making life so complicated, so much more complicated than what it really is. Life is so simple there like I just get out on my bike, go to a restaurant or go to the beach." Nadine realized that she's more at peace when she's in the island. It's great to see Nadine thrive in environments that is good for mental, physical, emotional and spiritual health.
Besides coming back with a new single, Nadine is also coming back to the big screen! Last time we saw Nadine on screen was in her 2019 dance film "Indak" along with Sam Concepcion. Her new film under Viva Films is titled "Greed" and she's starring alongside Diego Loyzaga, directed by Yam Laranas, is a "mind-boggling" thriller. Nadine describes the feeling when she read the script as a feeling of "watching a movie and replaying the scenes in her head". Nadine also mentioned that she has never done a movie like "Greed" before and it is definitely a new type of category under her acting experience. It also goes well with Nadine's current role preference which definitely makes the film role suited for her.
On the side of her other ventures - her beauty line - it's doing well good and she hinted on something coming up. Nadine did keep mum about her hint as to not disclose anything specific so we'll all just have to keep posted on the exciting things she has planned!
Nadine stays true to herself as the years come by. She has always been real and authentic with her actions and words which is what we all love about her. The future of Nadine is bright and bold, we're sure exciting things are going her way! We're only hoping to see more of Nadine's layers in the upcoming years as she grows more and more great into her craft and life ventures.
