K-Pop boy group TAN (To All Nations) is back in the Philippines for an electrifying series of mall shows to promote their “TAN MADE_[I]” album! They are set to perform on the 8th at the Market! Market! Activity Center, the 9th at the TriNoma Activity Center, and the 10th at SM City CDO Downtown.
The Monster got a chance to meet the boys up close in their recent press conference held last September 1 at the Joy Nostalg hotel. The group answered questions about their latest comeback, producing their own music, their favorite Pinoy food, and more!
This is actually the group’s second time in the Philippines, having been here 10 months prior for their “FIRST STEP: To All Nations” tour. The boys showed excitement about their return, looking forward to reuniting with their Filo SODAs. Jaejun even exclaimed: “I feel like I’m home!”
“The Philippines is one of the most important countries to the K-Pop industry. Just like our group name ‘To All Nations,’ we want to leave a mark here and in other countries,” Taehoon added.
Hyeonyeop, meanwhile, shared that he’s been working hard on his recovery from a previous foot injury, the reason why he couldn’t join TAN’s dance performances the last time they were here. “I felt kinda bad I wasn’t able to give it my best, so now that I’m back, I promise to give it my all. Hwaiting!”
When asked about their fondest memories from the last time they were here, the boys excitedly shared that they love Filipino food, citing crispy pata, halo-halo, and sinigang among others. They also recalled the landmarks they last explored such as Luneta Park, Intramuros, and Manila Cathedral. For this visit, the boys said they’d like to collab with Pinoy artists and Filipino groups – anyone in particular you’d like to see them work with, SODAs?
Sunghyuk had a unique answer when asked what new experience he’d like to have while on their tour here: “I want to try working out at a Philippine gym!”
In terms of their music, TAN takes pride in their personal involvement in the production of their songs, stating that this is one of the things that make them different. “Since we participated in the creative process for this album, we really gave our all,” Jooan said. “Just like the message of the lyrics, which is all about self-confidence and self-love, [we] are also confident in our work,” Jiseong added.
Another exciting news is TAN’s recent inclusion in the artist roster of Universal Records Philippines. Congratulations, boys!
We hope both TAN and SODAs have a great time in the next few days of the tour!
