Yeah, we know you might be getting real tired of it at this point – you’ve probably tried all the trendy new things there are to try and need something new. Dalgona coffee? Banana bread? Yoga? Sushi bake? Been there, done that! If you’re looking to learn something new that isn’t just about food trends or quiz nights (though we still very much love and appreciate these things), read on! We rounded up just a few of the many sites where you can take classes for FREE! Let’s get educated this quarantine!
De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde Filipino Sign Language Course
The DLS-CSB School of Deaf Education and Applied Studies (SDEAS) launched their Filipino Sign Language Crash Course Series last May 30. The classes are taught through Facebook live, and are completely free, but participants can donate to SDEAS’ Signs For Signs fundraiser. A minimum donation of P350 will give you access to an FSL learning kit that you can use to continue learning FSL at home! TESDA Online Program
Learning tons of new skills, from growing fruits, to servicing computers, to massage therapy are now just a click away! The Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) now offers 68 free courses in several categories to help Filipinos learn new skills while under quarantine! The classes are all available online, but once the country’s situation is somewhat normalized, students will be asked to take an assessment in person to receive certification. Some of the categories included in TESDA’s offerings are Agriculture, Entrepreneurship, Process Food and Beverages, and Human Health, just to name a few.

Google is ready to equip us all with skills to master the digital world! They offer online courses in Data and Tech, Digital Marketing, and Career Development, most of which are free and approved by industry experts. They’ve partnered with other universities and organizations to bring users 134 different courses that range from under 2 hours to over 20 hours. This one’s great for those who have a busy schedule or have a lot on their plate, because you can learn at your own pace and create a learning plan that’s fit for you.

Video Copilot
YouTubers, filmmakers, and editors in the making! Video Copilot is a site you’ve got to check out to enhance your editing and animating skills using the program Adobe After Effects. You can watch tutorial playlists for things like Motion Design, 3D Effects, and more. It’s a great source for those who really want to up their skills in creating video effects from scratch. They’ve made the tutorials available on both their official website and their YouTube channel, so you can choose whichever platform fits best for you!
