Pop-alt duo joan gave off a magnetic Manila show last September 19 at the New Frontier Theater for their superglue tour in Manila. joan filled the intimate theater with good music, colorful visuals, and an all-around awesome time!

Rocking their signature modern nostalgia outfits and sunglasses, the duo consisting of Stephen Rutherford and Alan Thomas kicked off their show with ‘life, death & everything in between,’ ‘simple,’ and ‘feel like dancing’ from their debut album ‘superglue’.

Songs from their single releases ‘something special’, ‘tokyo’, and ‘ease your mind’ and more tracks from ‘superglue’ followed their set list. Joan also showed the fans something new by adding their twist to Frank Ocean’s 2012 hit ‘Super Rich Kids’. A more stripped-down yet groovy version of the original hip-hop and R&B track wow-ed the crowd! 

The show continued as joan played their fan-favorite tracks and viral hits, including ‘magnetic,’ ‘i loved you first,’ ‘backseat driving,’ ‘Superglue,’ and ‘drive all night.’ It was a fusion of snazzy instruments, impressive lyricism, and abstract graphics that capped off joan’s much-awaited show in the country!
