After nearly eight years, BIGBANG’s very own Dance King, TAEYANG, returned to Manila for the grand finale of his ‘THE LIGHT YEAR’ tour held last February 22 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, the event was a special and emotional moment for both the idol and his devoted Filo V.I.P.s.

TAEYANG set the bar high opening the concert with ‘Prayer’ and ‘I’ll Be There.’ With his undeniable stage presence and artistry, he reminded everyone why he remains one of K-pop’s legendary idols.

Fans were treated to a nostalgic ride as TAEYANG performed his iconic hits, including ‘Wedding Dress,’ ‘I Need a Girl,’ and ‘RINGA LINGA.’ He also showcased his recent collaborations, igniting the stage with ‘VIBE’ featuring Jimin of BTS and ‘Shoong!’ featuring Lisa of BLACKPINK.

TAEYANG made a tribute to his BIGBANG roots with performances of some of their beloved songs ‘Blue,’ ‘IF YOU,’ ‘LOSER,’ and ‘A Fool of Tears.’ But, the excitement didn’t stop there — he brought the house down with ‘BANG BANG BANG’ and ‘Fantastic Baby,’ sending fans into an epic dance party.

The highlight of the night was when TAEYANG surprised everyone with a cover of TJ Monterde’s ‘Palagi.’ The sentimental performance, sung not once but twice, left fans in awe and deepened the emotional connection between him and the Filo V.I.P.s.

TAEYANG expressed his heartfelt gratitude to his fans and the entire team behind his tour. While he was taking his moment, the crowd humorously requested him to sing his iconic ‘Yeorobun~,’ which left everyone laughing and shouting for joy.

The concert wouldn’t be complete without ‘Eyes, Nose, Lips.’ As he performed the heartfelt ballad, the arena was filled with fans singing along, creating a serene and intimate atmosphere.

Closing the night on a beautiful note, TAEYANG performed ‘Seed’ as confetti filled the air. With a final bow, he concluded ‘THE LIGHT YEAR’ tour, making Manila the perfect city for his last stop.

Thank you for being the brightest sun, TAEYANG! We can’t wait to see you and BIGBANG back on stage soon!
