It was definitely a ‘Beautiful Madness’ in the pit of the SM North EDSA Skydome last September 22 as fans rocked with Welsh pop-punk band Neck Deep!
Formed in Wrexham, Wales in 2012, vocalist Ben Barlow, guitarists Matt West and Sam Bowden, bassist Seb Barlow and drummer Matt Powles capped off their Asia tour on the Philippine stage with high energy performances that got the whole audience pumped — so much so that they got multiple people surfing the crowd! How crazy is that!
The night’s set list was stacked, with Neck Deep performing ‘Sonderland,’ ‘Lowlife,’ ‘Kali Ma,’ ‘Citizens of Earth,’ ‘Can’t Kick Up the Roots,’ ‘What Did You Expect?,’ ‘STFU,’ ‘Heartbreak of the Century,’ ‘Take Me With You,’ ‘Smooth Seas Don’t Make Good Sailors,’ ‘When You Know’ ‘She’s a God,’ ‘Wish You Were Here,’ ‘A Part of Me,’ and ‘December’ ‘Motion Sickness,’ and ‘Gold Steps’. From start to finish, the energy was so electrifying, the Skydome was literally shaking! You could see that not only the fans were having the time of their lives, but the entire band as well.
Before wrapping up the show with ‘In Bloom,’ Ben Barlow took the time to thank everyone for their warm welcome. “What an absolute thrilla in Manila” he said. “We love you all, we appreciate you all, we’ll be back as soon as we can.”
He also dropped some big news: new music is on the way! “[It’s coming] really, really soon! Non-stop pop-punk baby, that’s what we’re going for.”
Huge thanks to Pulp Live World for bringing NECK DEEP to Manila!
