Rico and Karla finally had this couple to guest on the show since they've been wanting to for a long time! In fact, Kiefer's brother and sister already guested on the Monster except for him, so finally they were able to come thru!
Staying at home and trying to be productive are what these two have been up to during this time. Alyssa was even set to play on the day of their guesting, while Kiefer was supposed to start a long time ago but hey, these things happen.
In terms of training, being with Kiefer's family is truly competitive as they always push each other to the limit even while at home according to Alyssa! They've been having fun, with some healthy competition nonetheless. They also have breaktimes as well from working out and just relaxing and eating whatever, in fact they for the first few weeks of the quarantine they were really all about the grind and worked out 3 times a week! Then descended slowly and it became twice a week until they just decided to workout whenever they want! Speaking of training, Kiefer and Alyssa's athlete training are very much different. Alyssa's volleyball training is much harder than Kiefer's basketball! Kiefer even said "Naawa ako sakanila ... Lagi ko silang niloloko, kala ko Olympics yung sasalihan nila." At least, all those hard days training paid off for Alyssa!
For their home life, Kiefer does the cooking between the two but Alyssa and Kiefer's sister are more into desserts and baking! Kiefer on the other hand, would help around the kitchen in preparing the ingredients and whatnot if he's not the one cooking. Well we've got a Salt Bae in the making!
What does Kiefer and Alyssa like to do when they relax? Watching K-dramas! Alyssa influenced Kiefer to watch and he immediately got hooked! Kiefer also revealed that he can finish 1 whole series a day! That's a lot of time and dedication to binge-watching! Kiefer is also watching Michael Jordan's Last Dance documentary, and he's amazed by the production of it! This documentary is also close to them as they're both athletes and could relate to the series. Alyssa actually had a documentary about her titled Alyssa Valdez: Flight of the UAAP Phenom back in 2016 after she finished her collegiate career in volleyball. Will we be seeing a Kiefer Ravena documentary in the future? Hopefully!
How are the PBA Players dealing with this whole period? Kiefer tells Rico and Karla that they are doing a fundraising drive to raise money for the people working behind the scenes in PBA! They're also helping out the frontliners by donating for the PPEs and giving out food. "It's a perfect time to stay and play together, not with basketball but to fight against an enemy that we don't see." Kiefer stated.
For Alyssa and the Volleyball community, there are also a lot of players doing donation drives and to give back to the frontliners! They've set up a cause Raffles For Hereos where they collect memorabilias from different players and raffle it to their fans. They are also coming up with another fundraising drive which is like a variety show for the volleyball personnel that have lost their jobs since there are currently no leagues happening.
Let's talk about love as these two have really been quite the couple. Kiefer and Alyssa have been together for 4 years! To test the strength of time and their relationship, what were the things they learned about from each other during ECQ? Kiefer learned about Alyssa's mindset on looking at the bigger picture by setting goals for herself during this period. She is not just looking what's in front of them but also taking into consideration other things and what they can do with during this trying time, and that amazed Kiefer. On the other hand, Alyssa saw Kiefer in a different light because he is the acting frontliner in the Ravena residence. He is the one going out doing all the errands, groceries and this is the first time Alyssa saw Kiefer prepare and take care of everyone in the house. These two are really something!
But let's throw this back a little by remembering their first impression of each other when they first met! Kiefer's impression of Alyssa is shy. He says that she is very demure and was even forced by her teammates to agree to take photos with fans, even if was still a rookie that time. Kiefer was a Senior in high school back then and even got a photo with Alyssa! Alyssa's impression of Kiefer was that he's "cool" just because he seems used to people going up to him and having his photo taken. Alyssa didn't even had an idea about who Kiefer was back then!
Speaking of love, Kiefer and Alyssa's love language are Words of Affirmation and Quality Time! Which is perfect for this quarantine since they're in lock down together. They also mentioned that they celebrated their 4-year anniversary despite the ECQ! It was just a simple celebration among them and their family, as Kiefer also prepared for them!
