2021 has been a much better year for Morissette as she definitely got her hands and schedule busy with music! She's also now dabbling in songwriitng and producing besides being an extraordinary singer. Morissette was also one of the last live performers we had on the Concert Series last year before the whole lockdown happened and before shifting everything virtually. Thank goodness we were graced and had the chance of hearing Morissette's powerful vocals live on the RX booth!
Speaking of Morissette's Concert Series performance last year, British singer Anne-Marie reacted to Morissette's rendition of her song "2002", in which she also peformed last year on the Monster!
Morissette was informed about this video thru her fans tagging her on Instagram! At first, she was kinda skeptical about it seeing as anything and everything can be edited on the internet. But when Anne-Marie said her name in the video, Morissette knew right then and there that it was legit! Morissette shared that her performance on last year's Concert Series wasn't her best due to a family loss but she was still shocked and flattered that it was that performance Anne-Marie has reacted to! It was heartwarming for Morissette as she was complimented by Anne-Marie for her singing, and her Filipino fans as well!
Morissette also got to work recently with the legendary Michael Bolton on the international show "Bolt Of Talent" back in 2019 and he even gave her tips and encouragement in songwriting! Morissette shared that she wasn't really a writer before as she doesn't have the willpower to write, but now she comes full circle! And her conversation with the one and only Michael Bolton about songwriting has now come into fruition.
Morissette is not just about the music this year but is also about love as she has now been engaged to her then-boyfriend of 9 years, Dave Lamar! Morissette shared their beautiful connection on how Dave is not just his romantic partner but also her partner in terms of her career as he has been one of Morissette's main supporter and continues pushing her to be more than what she can be and to grow as an artist. He also shoots and edits Morissette's Youtube vlogs and content. He is surely someone what Morissette needs for her fast-paced life and we're more than happy and excited for her!

Morissette started to fully write her own songs during this pandemic as it was a time that she had and used to hone her skills more. She was challenged by this pandemic to do more in terms of music and step out of her comfort zone. A lot of her loved ones were also very supportive and positive of Morissette in her growing journey as an artist, hence the meaning behind her new song "Phoenix" She also has already released songs that she co-wrote and co-produced under Underdog Music! Morissette really had the best times on this experience and it did help her grow more as an artist and performer.
Her passion in music is truly the avenue for Morissette to keep on rising and truly coming in full circle. We can't wait to see what's more in store for Morissette! We're rooting for you!
