There’s no party like an AOMG party! Almost a week ago, Woo, Lee Hi, LOCO, GRAY, Yugyeom, and Simon Dominic of AOMG partied the night away at New Frontier Theater last Sunday (January 15), which gave Filipino fans a lot of crazy energy. The concert was at an all-time high!
Starting it off strong was rapper Woo, who was a last-minute addition to the Manila show. He set the crowd's mood high with his performances of ‘R.I.P.’ ‘Chik Chik Pok Pok’ and ‘Chingiz Khan’ The rapper then got a bit sentimental as he shared the message he wanted to convey through his last song ‘Me’.
Changing the pace, K-r&b and soul artist Lee Hi serenades the crowd with ‘ONLY’ and ‘BREATHE’. The energy may have slowed down, but the emotions were running high. Not long after, groovy r&b beats filled the intimate theater. Lee Hi even got the crowd to join her chant for ‘H.S.K.T’! She also sang her hits ‘Savior’, ‘Rose’, ‘NO ONE’, ‘1 2 3 4’ and ended with her collaboration song with the queen of K-hip hop Yoon Mirae titled ‘Red Lipstick’. Lee Hi’s stage presence is unmatched!
The party vibe and energy sparked up as rapper LOCO stepped on stage! The man knows how to hype the moment! With his tracks ‘MBTI’, ‘Party Band’, ‘OPPA’, ‘Too Much’, ‘Like Water’, and ‘No Manners’. No doubt about it, his set was on fire! The crowd was wild, all thanks to the intensity he gave off. What an ultimate performer!
K-artist GRAY is a dynamic performer. His music ranges from hip hop and r&b with several elements thrown into it, which made his stage a fusion of musical greatness. GRAY also kept the balance of the show with his cool tracks ‘Dream Chaser’, ‘Show Window’, ‘STAY THE NIGHT’, ‘Summer Night’, ‘U’ and ‘LOSE CONTROL’ in which GRAY performed with the help of the crowd and his melodica. A perfect mid-show performance!
Having performed for a second time in Manila, Yugyeom still nails it! He’s back with much more confidence and passion. The GOT7 member and solo artist took over the stage as if it was his own! We are still in awe of how Yugyeom smoothes and grooves his way throughout his set. Of course, his dance moves are always a must! It’s always a treat to see Yugyeom busting it out on stage. His tracks ‘Take U Down’, ‘I Want U Around’, ‘Lights’, and ‘Running Through The Rain’ were all heard in Manila for the second time, but Yugyeom included his latest single ‘Ponytail’ as part of his set. Filipino AHGASES, his solo fans, and AOMG stans would probably never get tired of seeing this K-pop idol/solo artist do his thing on stage!
Closing off their stages is veteran rapper SIMON DOMINIC. His rapping skills plus ultimate bangers are exactly why Simon Dominic is a staple in the Korean hip-hop and rap industry! His stage was definitely the longest, having performed 16 songs (including ‘DAx4’, ‘SIMON DOMINIC’, ‘POSE!’ ‘Wifey’ and the fan favorite ‘MOMMAE’) yet the crowd continued to rap and dance along with screams to match. Not only did he showcase his fluid talent in rap, but his humor was also one of the night's highlights! No one can do it better than Simon Dominic!
Of course, the show would not end without an encore stage. LOCO headed out first and sang the iconic ‘Say Yes’ track from the OST of the 2016 drama Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo. It even left the rapper speechless and in awe as the crowd knew the song by heart! Shortly after, the rest of the AOMG artists came out and partied on stage while vibing to several tunes, including ‘TTFU’, ‘Party For The Night’, ‘We Are’, and ‘Who You’. The show ran for FOUR HOURS, yet it was over before you knew it. We’re confident that the AOMG artists followed the movement here in Manila and had a freakin’ hell of a time!
