K-pop soloist Kang Daniel held his first ever solo show last October 22 at the New Frontier Theater that gave Filipino DANITYs an unforgettable night!

3 years after his solo debut, Kang Daniel finally graced the Philippines with his presence by holding his first solo concert titled ‘First Parade in Manila’. Filipino DANITYs were truly pumped to see their idol up close and personal at the New Frontier Theater stage.

The theater was filled with colorful lights, amazing on-screen visuals and anticipation from his fans! Before stepping out on stage, an intro VCR of Kang Daniel played on screen and the atmosphere was immediately filled with loud, hearty screams signaling the fans’ sheer excitement. Donning a slick tie and a golden bedazzled suit jacket, Kang Daniel kicked off the show with ‘Flash’ and followed with ‘Parade’, a mashup of ‘Don’t Tell’ and ‘Waves’  and ‘ Touchin’. With upbeat and smooth dance moves, it was the perfect start to the show!  

Kang Daniel then took the time to introduce himself and say his hello’s to Filipino DANITYs. He also shared an unfortunate moment about how he wasn’t feeling 100% for this concert and was experiencing a bit of a sore throat and runny nose. But despite his condition, his energy and charisma were still on a high! He definitely did not disappoint, and that was just the first stage!

Proceeding to the second stage of the show, the visuals were more vibrant compared to the first stage that was enveloped with dark hues of blues and red and streaks of lights. Kang Daniel ditched the tie and suit jacket, and went for a more fun and sporty look. Sporting a custom-made Kang Daniel green jersey, he raised the energy for his second stage with his hits ‘Jealous’, ‘2U’, ‘Upside Down’ and ‘How We Live (ft. sokodomo)’.

During this part of the show, he took a break from performing and prepared a special game corner called The Balance Game, wherein fans sent ten situational questions with two choices each for Kang Daniel to choose from. It was a fun way for the idol to interact with the fans while getting to know him more — like how he would rather travel to the future instead of the past, his preference for sour food over salty food, how he’d choose to sleep all day rather than eat delicious food, to name a few. It was also clear how DANITYs seems like they know about Kang Daniel more than the idol knows himself!

Moving on to his third stage, Kang Daniel looked sexy and classy with an all-white ensemble in contrast to the dark and edgy stage visuals. He performed more of his intense songs and choreographies, namely ‘Misunderstood’, ‘Loser’ and the fan-favorites ‘Antidote’ and ‘PARANOIA’. The singer took the fans on a thrill ride for this stage!

For his last stage, Kang Daniel wore a more casual style fit for the intimate and heartfelt vibe of his ending songs, ‘Save U’, ‘1000x’ and ‘Moment’. The songs for his last stage were more vocal-focused so the fans definitely felt more relaxed as Kang Daniel continued to serenade DANITYs. During ‘1000x’, Filipino DANITYs raised their banners with “DANITY is forever yours a 1000x” written across as part of the surprise fan project for the singer. Kang Daniel was touched as he saw the crowd with their sea of colorful banners. Safe to say, the special fan project was pulled off successfully! Kang Daniel couldn’t help but smile from all of the love he received for his Filipino fans.

Not long after he said his goodbye, Kang Daniel went back on stage for his encore performance. The idol ended his 2-hour show with ‘Adulthood’ and bid his final goodbyes to Filipino DANITYs. Kang Daniel’s crazy charms and incredible talent definitely left a mark! Thanks to Wilbros Live for making the Kang Daniel Concert First Parade in Manila happen!
