Hiatus Kaiyote held their concert at The Filinvest Tent in Alabang last May 21, 2026, with Filipino fans — jazz/funk enthusiasts flocked inside the concert hall to dance to the beats of Hiatus Kaiyote.

Filipino pride Silentjay opens the show with music that mimicked the way the lights flowed. A hue of dancing that vividly hyped up the crowd for the appearance of Hiatus Kaiyote.

The opening act felt like traversing into another dimension as Silentjay plays around beats that make you groove and float into its rhythm – like a growing story told by the movements of lights and the sound of music.

Hiatus Kaiyote joined the crowd with a percussion opener. Like an introduction and a welcoming beat for their Filipino fans. For their fans, it was a celebration of their tune, for the listeners who have only discovered them, it was a moment-stopping experience.

The show featured tracks from their albums, ‘Love Heart Cheat Code,’ ‘Choose Your Weapon’,  and ‘Tawk Tomahawk.’ The setlist in Manila starred some of the Filipino fans’ favorites — ‘Dreamboat,’ ‘And We Go Gentle,’ and a lovely song the band wrote for friendship, ‘Make Friends.’

Hiatus Kaiyote shared not just the funk and groovy beats, but the heart behind their music – built on friendship, nostalgic experiences, and their collective love for music making.

Thank you, Hiatus Kaiyote, for bringing your music into the lives of many Filipino jazz/funk enthusiasts.
