Taemin, the beloved K-pop idol, returned to the Philippines for his first solo Manila concert, ‘Ephemeral Glaze,’ held last November 24 at the Araneta Coliseum. The night was magical, as Filo SHAWOLs and TAEMates welcomed him with cheers while their Odorobong and Shating Stars shined through the Big Dome!

The concert opened with breathtaking energy as Taemin set the tone with captivating performances of ‘Deja Vu,’ ‘Guilty,’ and ‘Advice,’ through his unmatched charisma that mesmerized the fans. 

Taemin’s excitement to finally hold a concert in Manila was evident in his radiant smile and playful banter. He shared a lighthearted joke about the warm weather in the Philippines, further endearing himself to the crowd. The first set concluded with ‘Goodbye’ and ‘Idea’, leaving fans yearning for more!

Returning to the stage with a softer, more soulful vibe, Taemin showcased his exceptional vocals, serenading the audience with ‘Heaven,’ ‘I’m Crying,’ and ‘Clockwork.’ These heartfelt performances put everyone in a dreamlike state, while ‘The Unknown Sea’ proved his artistry and emotional depth.

The energy soared when Taemin delivered dynamic stages of his hit tracks ‘Move,’ ‘Criminal,’ ‘Sexy in the Air,’ and his latest release, ‘Horizon.’

During his talking segment, Taemin asked TAEMates and SHAWOLs which songs made them fall in love with him. The crowd’s response was a nostalgic celebration of SHINee’s legacy, as he sang snippets of iconic hits like ‘Ring Ding Dong,’ ‘Lucifer,’ ‘Don’t Call Me,’ and their debut track ‘Replay.’

The evening took an emotional turn when they held the fan project. Holding banners that read, “I hope these fleeting moments with you (Taemin) last forever,” and sang his tender ballad ‘Pansy.’ Touched by the gesture, Taemin asked them to sing it again, joining them for a heartwarming moment.

Adding to the night’s surprises, TAEMates presented a special video reflecting on his career and featuring sincere messages from fans. Taemin expressed his deep gratitude, promising to cherish the love and memories created that evening.

Before the concert’s end, Taemin promised to return to the Philippines, next time with SHINee. Taemin concluded the night on a comforting note with ‘Say Less,’ leaving the audience with hearts full of love and admiration.
