Donny Pangilinan is back again on All Out with Rico and Karla! The Monsters, his fans and our DJs have missed this charming man on the show! Even Donny himself misses our All Out duo as well!
Here's a little throwback of Donny on his first radio guesting on the Monster way back 2016!
As always, Rico and Karla starts the interview by checking up on our guests! So how has Donny been doing so far under these circumstances we're all facing? Like most of us, he was at a confused state during the first parts of quarantine. Not knowing what to do and "life" being cancelled was really tough for Donny to handle. And as the months progressed, so did he. He finally adjusted and just start becoming used to this life we call the "new normal" and just continue going on. But on the brighter side of things, Donny has been spending a lot of time with his family, in which they are complete and has been doing the things he wasn't able to due back then due to busy work schedules.
Donny's family background is no stranger to the limelight, coming from the famous Pangilinan family. Both his parents, Anthony and Maricel had a fair share of the spotlight for the longest time. One of his siblngs, Hannah Pangilinan is now making a name for herself in the music industry! We even had Hannah sing for us on the Concert Series just a few months ago!
Donny is also mastering the craft of music, as he released new music last April and even directed the music video! His single is titled "Dream" with Filipina-Irish artist, Andreah. They co-wrote and starred their music video together in which Donny definitely had a lot of fun creating and directing the whole process!
In terms of family, Donny is part of a huge bunch having 4 other siblings! Donny is the 2nd among 5 of Anthony and Maricel's kids! We can just imagine the chaos and uber fun than goes around their household! Since Donny mentioned this is the first time in a long time that they were all complete under one roof, what has it been like with the whole family coming together during quarantine? Their bonding consists of Saturday cook-outs, family sit-downs where they all just hang and catch up on random nights. But the whole Pangilinan family is not all play as each one of them are still working from homes, doing their specific tasks but regardless of that, the fact that they're all in one set of 4 walls, is family time enough.
Donny has his plate still full even at a time like this, with his upcoming hosting stint on TV5's newest noontime variety show. This isn't Donny's first time hosting as he was also a MYX VJ for a quite some time. Did Donny ever got any tips from his parents? Instead of answering directly right away, Donny shared a moment where he actually got tips and advice from, our very own Rico Robles! Donny shared that 2 years ago, he interviewed international singer Halsey. And before the interview, Donny spotted Rico as well to interview her! Donny asked advice and tips from Rico! Of course Rico gave sound advice to him - go with it and pick up the last thing she said and take it from there. Safe to say, Rico's tips did help Donny a lot! But with his parents, Donny mentioned that his parents just let him do his own thing and comes prepared with advice once he needs it.

Donny has dabbled in a lot of things since entering the spotlight - hosting, VJ-ing, singing and acting! Does Donny genuinely enjoy doing a lot of things at the same time or is he trying different things to find his forte? Donny doesn't actually know what he wanted to do when he first entered show business! He did admit that he is dabbling in a lot of things and trying to find what he enjoys doing and what excites him. "Since you're young anyway, there's so many things you can do. There's nothing with trying and if you fail, you fail. If you succeed, you succeed. That's life." Donny is definitely more on the spontaneous side, just trying things out, stepping out of his comfort zone and just seeing how things go. We're truly in awe of how Donny doesn't restrict and pressure himself and just lets loose!

Rico and Karla hit Donny with some fan questions he had all over Twitter & Instagram (which amounted to a whopping 400+ questions!):
Why did Donny start getting into fitness and working out more this quarantine? Because it's the best time for it! Donny's workout routine consists of different muscle programs to gain muscle weight. Donny's younger brother, Benj, also works out with sometime which is now a habit of theirs making it extra fun! He even renovated their basement at home turning it into a whole gym, and his parents have no clue about the renovation! And that was the first time Donny ever revealed it! Oops sorry parents, Donny just wants to take it up a notch! Hahaha! Donny also shared that he loves interior designing a lot. Fun fact!
Music-wise, who or what are Donny's current music faves? Donny's current favorite playlist is his Roadtrip Playlist featuring songs like San Francisco Street by Sun Rai, California, basically songs that would his head bop and vibe. He also likes his Hiphop playlist including old Drake songs. His workout playlist is also mainly hiphop just to keep him pumped and put him in the zone! Composing of Post Malone, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Migos, DJ Khaled, Drake, Chance The Rapper.
In contrast of fitness, what are Donny's guilty pleasure treats/dishes? Anything Pinoy breakfast is his favorite! Ice cream, leche flan, sans rival, cheeesecake are the ones that he'd indulge himself in! Korean BBQ and Japanese food are also at the top of Donny's food list! Donny and Karla also share a deep love for Japanese cuisine! Yum!
What does Donny do to stay sane during quarantine? Communcation! Talking to his closest circle is a must! Checking up on loved ones as wel. Trying to be creative, opening your mind and praying at a time like this.
Gaming? Donny's definitely not missing out on this one! He has been so into the mobile app Mobile Legends for the first couple of months until he realized it's taking too much of his time. Donny shared that he would stream with Eric Tai aka Eruption at 7 in the morning for 4 hours straight! He even had an entire squad and would spend on the game!
Work-related, what was Donny's initial thought when it was finally time to go back on set? "My nose is gonna die." Because they were being swabbed-test every week! Oh precious Donny, but it's all protocols and for his and others' sake as well so he's definitely manning that up! He may be very excited to go back to work but at the end of the day he's still going home to his family, so safety is definitely out of the question!
Donny's fans and supporters are what keeps him motivated! Their excitement keeps Donny pushing through and striving really hard. Donny also talked about his newest noon-time variety show at TV5 with fellow artists including Piolo Pascual, Catriona Gray, Maja Salvador and Jake Ejercito which is directed by Star Magic's Mr. M. Noon-time shows definitely require production numbers and a lot of dancing! Will Donny be up for it? All he can say is, "you guys better be ready." We'll definitely watch out for that!

Donny leaves with a message to everyone who has non-stop supporting him: "Mahal na mahal ko kayong lahat. Thank you so much sa lahat ng suportang binibigay niyo sakin. I miss all you guys, I know it's been a while since we had an event but hopefully when this is all over, we get to have something big and we get to see each other." Definitely something to look forward to! In the meantime, support Donny's new variety show along with amazing artists on TV5 called Sunday Noontime Live! Donny will also start shooting his new iWant TV series He's Into Her with Belle Mariano so also keep an eye out for that and so much more surprises Donny has in store for everyone! We can't wait to see Donny venture out into more exciting things!
