After almost a decade, internationally acclaimed post-hardcore rock band You Me At Six has made their way back to Philippine shores! We got to rock out with them at the Manila stop of their “Truth Decay Tour” last July 6, presented by PULP Live World.
Since it’s been a while since they had a concert here, you can only imagine the electric energy that filled the SM North EDSA Sky Dome while fans were waiting for the band to take the stage. When the first few notes of opener ‘DEEP CUTS’ were heard, the screams were deafening!
This tension was sustained all throughout the night as You Me At Six performed their very stacked set list of ‘Fresh Start Fever,’ ‘Straight To My Head,’ ‘heartLESS,’ ‘Bite My Tongue,’ ‘What’s It Like,’ ‘No Future? Yeah Right,’ ‘Give,’ ‘Stay With Me,’ ‘Mixed Emotions,’ ‘God Bless The 90’s Kids,’ ‘Take On The World,’ ‘SUCKAPUNCH,’ ‘Underdog,’ ‘Reckless,’ and ‘Beautiful Way.’
The crowd sang their hearts out with the band throughout the whole show, impressing frontman Josh Fransechi. “We’ve established something tonight—you all have good singing voices!” he exclaimed. That’s Filipino fans for you!
“I and the boys [had] a wonderful time with you all,” he also said, and we’d be inclined to agree. It was truly a memorable night of powerhouse performances and crazy good energy. ‘Til we meet again, You Me At Six!
